    I am new to Joseph Campbell believe it or not!!!This documentary is inspiring and helps deal with some of his theories that can translate to everyone. Definitely worth watching if you feeling like your just plodding along through life or struggling with something.

    I came upon this accidentally a few years ago at a low point and place of feeling utterly lost and directionless. I was riveted and captivated by the message and motivated to move through my monstrous fears. I now recommend it to many of my clients that I counsel. I believe it has a great impact on those who are at a turning point and seeking. Others don’t “get it” and try to pick apart what was never meant to be a list of instructions or doctrine but simple a message about Finding YOU- (you are so worth it)

    I saw a screening of this doc of joe Campbell's life and influence on myth on our life journey last night. I found it very inspiring, funny, and innovative. I highly recommend both this film and learning about Joe's extraordinary findings about all the ancient myths tapping into one hero/heroine journey for all. Great job on the film!!!

    This movie's most profound contribution to the genre is in bringing Joseph Campbell's timeless message to general audiences. It also helps that it was beautifully shot, masterfully scored (seriously, the studio should release the fantastic score album) and the stories are incredibly charming. I'm completely at a loss with the critical reviews, but with this title, just look at the user reviews for guidance and watch it!!

    Great exposition of Joe Campbell's work on the "Hero" motif and the mythological themes behind it. I vigorously disagree with the bad reviews in Rotten Tomatoes.
