Evil Dead Rise

Very good.

I got bored half way through the movie. nothing like the first one!

Kills nowhere near as over the top or gory as the originals OR the fantastic series, but as a real fan of all things Evil Dead, I still enjoyed this film and what they set up for later. LETS GO!!!

The first movie all in was a go loved it from the being to the end , but this one began in the end to go back a day earlier “ WHAT “ so now my question is why didn’t they just man I hate story telling in this order , If they decided to actually make another movie they should continue where this blood bath left off , The Deadite rises from lake and I could just imagine the horror that followed afterwards , This story line seems to not have a hero yet or will never have one to say Ash Williams hung up the chain saw and put the Boom stick away for good , Now since the last movie and this new one , It seems more like a run to survive or fight n die maybe kill who’s body it took over then still run cause it can possess another dead body or a living body , I must say in my opinion the movie was good but the whole ending to a beginning had me scratch my head “WHY” lol .

I like the movie lots of gruesome killings it didn’t feel like evil dead 1 are 2 are the 2013 movie but was still a good movie

Worth the rental

The best thing about this movie is the mother deadite she is a total scene stealer and the cinematography is top notch however the full on wacky and bat crazy antics of evil dead are not totally present. I went to see it twice in theaters to make sure I really knew how I felt about it. It’s a confidently made horror movie but lacks the heart and soul of the other 4 evil dead movies and felt like a slog the 2nd time watching it and that’s not an evil dead movie. Evil dead has always had brilliant brisk pacing but hat gets straight to the point and also somehow makes you care.

It’s kinda boring. Looks like a high budget movie. Almost like a modern day music video turned movie. Ya, there’s gore but it doesn’t really hit for some reason. Go watch the pope’s exorcist movie instead. Way better

Super suspenseful and keeps you on toes. One of the best movies of this franchise! Great scares & lots of blood! I really hope the producers and writers expand on the origin of the book and continue to make “anthology” movies because all of the Evil Dead movies stand on their own and surpass the next one! As a hardcore Scream & Halloween franchise lover, the Evil Dead franchise is starting to give them a run for their money and I love to see it!! Never stop making these movies - 10 years was way to long to come back with a new movie, make them ever 2-5 years!!!
