After two decades, the case remains open. "Jack" Jackson (Whitaker), a reporter desperate to save his reputations and career, is determined to find out why. He tracks down Poole, and the two enter into an uneasy partnership to finally put this case to rest. As Poole relives the unbelievable story of power, corruption and crime, Jackson begins to unravel a growing web of scandal and deception. Relentless in their hunt for the truth, these two broken men threaten to crack the foundation of the L.A.P.D all the while fighting for their own.

    A very detail movie…great actors …great script…
  • Good topic, tedious pacing

    By Scanner Man II
This film appears to be one of many that started with a great idea then fizzled in the writing and direction. We expect some embellishment in biopics and similar genres but this will make some who were actually there scratch their heads at some depictions. Simply meh. Heart was in the right place, Biggie deserves better.

This movie was terrible and I’m upset that I spent actual money on it. The only people that liked this movie are Johnny depp fans.
  • A mess

The film seemed promising based off the trailers and I was exited at one point until about 20 minutes in it was clear what was going on unless you are an expert in the case and extremely invested in it you won’t understand any of the films deeper meanings and context it was disappointing especially from the director who should have told his audience apart. The acting seemed mediocre considering the script was nothing special but I couldn’t help but wonder how the film would have come out if it had its intended early release instead it had a messy throw out in the middle of a pandemic almost like the studio just wanted to get rid of it not caring at all.
  • Worth the wait

This movie has been stalled so many times, but I’m so glad to finally be able to own it and see it however many times I like. “I’m obsessed with the truth, and that is my sickness.” JFJD

  • Who Shot Biggie?

I can't belive that after this many years this question has not been answered and is seemingly no longer a priority for the LAPD. Why is that? Was it EVER a priority? Johnny Depp and Forest Whitaker did an outstanding job of bringing this case back to life on screen. Will it be enough to inspire a freah look at the case? I hope so.
